Why Women Kill: Character Video Concepts
For Why Women Kill, I developed animations to reflect the stark duality of its central characters—juxtaposing their seemingly perfect, polished lives with the dark emotions and struggles that drive them to murder. Beginning with Stepford-like, idyllic imagery, the animations transition to reveal each woman’s connection to their crime. The show’s exploration of families living in the same house across generations inspired an alternate concept: transforming the same setting through evolving period décor, with characters appearing and vanishing as their corresponding time periods shifted. This approach visually captured the thematic interplay of time, space, and secrets.
