Landman: OOH Ad Concepts

For the series debut of Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, I developed concepts for experiential marketing installations that delve into the series' fraught intersection of wealth and humanity. One concept was a billboard featuring a functional flaming oil derrick that would later be quietly swapped with a replica appearing to have burnt to the ground. Another concept imagined a billboard with a rig appearing to have sprayed oil all over its surroundings, creating visual disruption in a real-world setting. Urban oil rig pop-ups and the "Filthy Rich" installations—luxury items drenched in oil—extended the narrative into public spaces, reflecting the human cost of success and excess. Each of these ideas would have merged bold theatrics with sharp commentary and create buzz by blurring the line between reality and promotion.
