The Twilight Zone: Key Art Concepts

For Jordan Peele's reboot of The Twilight Zone, I developed key art concepts that honored the series' legacy while introducing a modern aesthetic. One design bridged the original and reboot, visually connecting Rod Serling and Jordan Peele through a combination of iconography from both series, unified by the classic Twilight Zone spiral vortex. Another concept took the form of detailed schematics, highlighting hero props and objects from specific episodes, peppered with cryptic notes that teased plot points and mysteries. I also created an animated concept video showcasing designs for a lenticular press kit that would change appearance based on the viewer's angle. A more ambitious idea was to coat the press kit boxes in Vantablack, a synthetic material that absorbs almost 100% of light, making it one of the darkest substances known. However, this concept was ultimately scrapped once preliminary research revealed it was toxic to the touch. These explorations epitomized the bold, out-of-the-box thinking that The Twilight Zone both embodies and inspires.
